The blue, pristine waters of this 50.5 mile long lake open a variety of options for the recreational boater and water sports aficionado, whether they are using the lake to play, fish or to travel into the spectacular and primitive North Cascades. In addition to the 50.5 mile long lake, you’ll find numerous smaller lakes nearby. The Lake provides plenty of opportunity to enjoy water-skiing, jet-skiing, parasailing, kayaking, canoeing, rowing, tubing and cruising.

Mountain Biking

Originally built for cross-country skiers, the Echo Ridge trail network has become a favorite for mountain bikers.  A trail system this robust, with high-payoff views down to the lake and across to the Cascade Crest, is one of the iconic features that make a weekend at Chelan so much fun for outdoor lovers.

Hiking

The Stehekin Valley is in the heart of the North Cascades and is in the Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, part of the North Cascades National Park Service Complex. It is a major entryway into the mountains, providing access to some of the best hiking and backpacking in the world. Trails range from short one-mile hikes to major treks including the Pacific Crest Trail which extends from Canada to Mexico. Ask about trail listings from the Chelan Ranger Station in Chelan.
